Frozen Yogurt Fruit Hearts

 

 

Skip the fattening desserts and try this healthy recipe with some extra protein that everyone will love! The greek yogurt and fresh ingredients almost make this frozen treat guilt free! Its easy enough for the kids to  get into the kitchen and help make it and different enough that your guests will appreciate your healthy version of a soft serve cone with all the mix-ins.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Greek vanilla yogurt
  • 1/4 cup blueberries, fresh
  • 2 strawberries, small diced
  • 1 kiwi, small diced
  • 2 teaspoons pistachios, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons cocoa nibs
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon honey

Instructions

  1. Take a third of the yogurt and mix with lemon zest, set aside. Take a third of the yogurt and mix with cocoa nibs, set aside. Take a third of the yogurt and mix with honey and pistachios, set aside.
  2. In a heart shaped silicone mold, fill 2 hearts with honey yogurt, 2 with coco nib yogurt and 2 with lemon zest yogurt. Top the cocoa nib yogurt with cut strawberries. Top the lemon zest yogurt with Blueberries. Top the honey pistachio yogurt with Kiwi.
  3. Freeze for 2-3 hours. Remove from mold and serve immediately.
