Ingredients
Cherry Syrup
- 1 pound cherries, fresh
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
Cold Brew
- 8 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups coffee beans, coursely ground
- almond milk, as needed
Instructions
Cherry Syrup
- In a small sauce pot, combine cherries, sugar and almond extract. Mix until cherries have broken down and sugar has melted. With a masher, mash cherries to make sure all juice is extracted. Strain cherries and set aside. Place in refrigerator to cool. Makes 2 cups
Cold Brew
- Mix coffee grinds and water together in a big bowl. Cover with a kitchen towel and let sit for at least 12 hours. Strain through either cheese cloth or your coffee machine (without turning it on). Store up to 2 weeks in refrigerator.
- Mix coffee concentrate with ice, almond milk and reserved cherry syrup.
