Ingredients
French Toast
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 brioche loaf, small (6 slices)
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Bananas
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 bananas, sliced into 4 pieces
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 cup pecans, chopped
Instructions
French Toast
- Preheat non stick skillet.
- Slice bread into six, one-inch slices.
- Mix the rest of the french toast ingredients together. Allow bread slices to soak for 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Melt butter in pan. Add slices of soaked bread and cook until golden brown on each side, about 3 minutes per side.
Bananas
- Toss bananas in brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Melt butter in small skillet. Add bananas and sear for 2-3 minutes or until a brown sugar crust forms. Add Pecans and cook until oils are released but be careful not to let them burn. Turn and cook bananas on the other side.
- Top French toast with three slices of bananas and a few pecans. Serve with a drizzle of maple syrup.
