I started this blog in 2017 to connect with people through my love of food. If you have ever seen me talk about food, my face lights up and I feel alive. I enjoy creating recipes, the processes and techniques on how to make it and the artistic presentation. Above all, I love a good story and this blog allows me to share my food stories with you.
I feel a sense of deep satisfaction when I have the opportunity to share the food I prepare with others. The conversations, the laughter and the look upon my guest’s face when they really enjoy something that I have made is why I do what I do.
I love to cook with organic foods, fresh local ingredients and make very simple recipes that allow the quality of the ingredients to steal the show. You know you have hit a home run when you hear a certain moaning sound or even a moment of silence at the table while everyone is chewing and enjoying that little taste of heaven.
A lot of my memories as a child were in the kitchen with my mother cooking food for holidays and simple gatherings with family and friends. These gatherings were always centered around delicious meals and lots of fun. I remember guests enjoying good wine, mixing homemade cocktails, cooking food that would force you to find room for an extra helping, playing dominoes, dancing or just chatting and catching up. Entertaining with family and friends simply makes me happy and feel at home.
