Welcome to my blog! I am so excited to connect with all of my subscribers through my passion for food and supporting our local community. I cant thank everyone enough for their overwhelming support of this website. The launch party at Swamphead Brewery last week was a huge success and it felt so good to finally release the project that I have been working on for about a year. I could feel the curiosity and excitement from everyone I talked to, which just made me that much more excited to publish it! It took me a little while to launch, however, it is finally finished and I’m thrilled to be on the next step of my “Eat.Local.Together” mission. Here are some photos from the launch party the HOME Magazine posted on facebook….https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10155873013186834.1073742799.75114426833&type=1&l=b3ce889924
The menu I created for the event was a Lamb and Beef Stout Chili that I made with Swamphead’s Midnight Oil, an oatmeal coffee stout. I served it with a Jalapeno Mint Relish and an Aged Cheddar and Chive Cornbread Muffin. Unreal. The lamb and stout gave it such a depth and earthy flavor that was amazing!
My hopes are to provide a platform for consumers to find out information on local food products, where to get them in our area and what to do with the food items once they get them home. Please help me continue to spread the word by liking the Facebook page, following on Instagram or subscribing to the blog on eatlocaltogether.com Thank you so much!!
